Penny’s Nine Month Update

Oh my goodness. Where is time going?! I can’t believe it’s already been nine months since Penny came into this world and it’s incredible how much has changed in such a short amount of time.

Penny is 20lbs and still in 6-12mo clothing. Summer is done, fall seemed like it was here for about a half a second and we’ve had our first snowfall and P loved seeing the seasons change! She absolutely loved going for walks as the leaves were falling, going apple & pumpkin picking and seeing the first big snowfall of the year. She loves being outside and we can’t wait to celebrate the Christmas season with her!

Penelope is a girl who is always on the move! Forget sitting still for any amount of time – she wants to dance, scoot, crawl and WALK!! Penelope started scooting and army crawling around 7 months, and took her first steps (with the help of a walker or mom and dad) right before she turned 8 months, and now she’s crawling for real and pulling herself up on any furniture she can. We can’t believe this little girl is so mobile already. We don’t think it’ll be long before she’s walking by herself which is super crazy to think about.

She’s still sleeping about ~14 hours a day which leaves soo much room for playtime – we go for walks around stores and the mall, play in her playroom (which I showed here), read books and dance! She is loving feeding herself solid foods and trying new flavours all the time (right now she loves vegetable soup with pasta, ravioli, green beans, sweet and sour meatballs, and peas to name a few).

It’s hard to believe she’s 9 months old already and her first birthday is getting closer and closer! Right now I’m focusing on enjoying the holiday season with her before I go back to work in January and she starts daycare.

I can’t wait to share more with the blog as she gets older! Instagram is the best place to keep up to date with our lives, be sure to check it out!
